Epiphone Vee Wee Mini Flying V Electric Guitar Reviews
Make / Model: Epiphone Vee Wee Mini Flying V
Gear Type: Guitars
Cost / Purchase Details: Sam Ash Music, $59 "Stupid Cheap" sale, 80% off
list. Comes with gig bag, cord, strap and allen wrenches. Lifetime warranty.
What you like: Great for a kid, adjustable bridge, decent closed tuners,
nice wide but short neck, Mini Me would love it
What you don't like: Neck length is kinda too short for E tuning, low E
buzzes. "A" tuning is fine but is strange at first playing to CDs.
Haven't even plugged it in yet. Main issue is that I can't adjust low E long enough to intone right at 12th fret, but at least it's adjustable unlike the EP gig rig paul jr.
bridge.
Construction / Quality: Good for the price, one humbucker and tone
control, one strap button behind bolt on neck, two more at end of each wing.
Small but solid.
Value of purchase: Great functional non-toy guitar to let my very young
kid destroy learning the basics.
Bottom Line: If I can figure out how to set the intonation right, and get
used to playing in A, and the humbucker sounds okay, I'll be fine.
Rating: 2 out of 5!
