Hands-on review: ZVEX Effects Fuzz Probe

I have been playing two thirds of my life! I no longer gig but I play at home every day. I lean toward the old school woodshed stuff like Clapton/Beck/SRV/EJ, guys who really know the history of the music and have paid their dues.

I got a killer deal on this Klotz cable off Ebay at half price. Having already been firmly converted to Klotz by Gerald Weber of Kendrick Amps with a 10 footer, I wanted a longer cable. Klotz cable has such low capacitance that you can easily use long cable runs and have NO attenuation or loss of tone whatsoever.

I thought I knew good tone until I started using Klotz cable! I am old enough to remember when your cable was the least important part of your rig and, if it didn't short out, it was a "good" cable!I got into high end cables about 5 years ago and did the Monster/George L/Planet Wave/Evidence Audio/Whatever dance until Gerald hipped me to Klotz.NOW I know what I sound like and just how critical the right cable is to TONE.The Klotz has gorgeous clarity and presence, the notes seem to float out of the amp and what you play is what you hear. Super coherent and really lets the even harmonics shine through.If you are into nuance and color then you must have one of these cables. Seriously.

Nothing! And there is no type of music that the Klotz is not suited for.Spend 5 times as much and you won't get your money's worth. I don't know about you but I can't see paying for a lot of advertising and tech mumbo jumbo-laden color ads. Just give me the best cable at the lowest price, I'm not a physicist!

The cable itself is substantial but still wonderfully supple ( I can't stand stiff cables that kink up )and the crowning touches are the massive Neutrik connectors. After WW 3 it will be only the cockroaches and Klotz cables left.

Best money I ever spent when it comes to dollar-for-dollar tonal payoff.Go to Kendrick Amps website to order. I don't know where else you can get a new Klotz. I think maybe Kendrick is the only US distributor.....? When I ask about Klotz in the music stores I haunt, I get the blank bovine stare. The Klotz can be your secret weapon, just like it is for me.
