Digigram Announces the First Professional Sound Cards 100% Microsoft WHQL Tested and Certified
(Digigram | Posted 2006-09-19)
Digigram, a world leader in PC audio interfaces and innovative networked audio devices, announced today that its HR series of professional sound cards have been submitted to Microsoft WHQL tests with success. The sound card used during the tests, a VX222HR, is now acknowledged as “Designed for Microsoft Windows XP”, a Microsoft label only given to qualified products. HR Series drivers are also digitally signed for Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003 (32-Bit edition), meaning that they also comply to WHQL standards.
Until now, no other professional-grade sound card for broadcast solutions has been 100% tested and made available with drivers digitally signed by Microsoft WHQL.
This is a significant demonstration of Digigram’s willingness to keep current with professional hardware quality standards: system stability is not compromised, power management features are improved and PCI bus access complies accurately with Microsoft’s Operating Systems guidelines.
For Digigram’s partners and customers, this means they will gain full support from Microsoft support teams, a Microsoft service that is only available to customers using signed drivers. Driver updates will also be available via the Windows Update website.
Another great benefit is that installations will become significantly faster, with no dialog boxes warning about potential system conflicts. IT administrators will also appreciate the improved automatic deployment of solutions and updates on multiple workstations via silent installation packages.
By submitting its sound card hardware and drivers to WHQL tests, Digigram proves again its commitment to facilitating the business and solution deployment of its partners, providing better user experiences, and reducing the total cost of ownership.
