Aviom Presents New AV-P2 Output Module at NSCA 2007

Aviom, exclusive developer of the world’s fastest audio transport protocol, A-Net®, recently introduced its new AV-P2 Output Module at NSCA 2007. An outstanding audio distribution solution in a wide range of venues that include convention centers, hotels, airports and sports facilities, the Aviom AV-P2 output module provides up to two channels of analog outputs from a Pro16™ A-Net® digital audio stream and independently selectable output levels for left and right channels.
For installers, the AV-P2 offers simple plug-and-play installation and secure “set-and-forget” channel
configuration. Audio is distributed to the AV-P2 over standard Cat-5e cables, using Aviom’s A-Net digital audio protocol. A-Net supports realtime distribution with sub-millisecond latency, and long cable runs up to 500ft/150m.
Each AV-P2 receives a 16-channel A-Net stream originating at a Pro16 input module, console interface card, or Pro64™ audio network (via the ASI A-Net Systems Interface module).
The analog output level for each channel is set with front-panel DIP switches. AV-P2s can be connected in any combination of serial or parallel connections, using Pro16 A-Net Distributors. There is no limit to the number of devices that can be daisy chained, or to the number of parallel splits in a single system.
Power can be supplied to the AV-P2 with an external DC power supply or over the Cat-5e cable (with an A-Net Distributor). Additionally, Pro16 A-Net audio streams can be transmitted over single- or multi-mode fiber optics using certain standard third-party media converters.
The AV-P2 has reversible mounting flanges and can also be mounted on Aviom’s MT-1 Mic Mount bracket. The AV-P2 is compatible with all Pro16 Series products.
