Nady Systems has announced the introduction of their latest multi-channel UHF wireless microphone system, the U-81 OCTAVO. The U-81 has 8 independent single-channel UHF receivers in a single 1U rack housing for simultaneous operation of 8 transmitters.
The U-81 OCTAVO offers interference-free operation for virtually all applications and locations, and operates on select UHF frequencies between 735 and 805MHz. Proprietary companding circuitry provides an industry-best 120dB dynamic range and extraordinary clear, natural sound. Operating range is typically up to 250 ft (depending on site conditions), and up to 500+ ft line-of-sight.
The U-81 OCTAVO Receiver features rugged construction; dual removable rear mount antennas for convenient alternate front rack ear placement; and front panel Power On switch with integrated Power ON LED. Each of the 8 receivers has: Indicators for RF Signal received and AF Peak LED, and individual receiver volume (output level) controls. Back panel has CH 1-8 individual balanced MIC level XLR outputs, and LINE level SUM (8 in 1 MIX)" output.
The U-81 OCTAVO is available with choice of transmitters—handheld (with Nady DM-10D cardioid dynamic cartridge) or bodypack (headworn or lavalier mic operation).
The U-81 OCTAVO will begin shipping October, 2007.
