Markbass MicroMark Bass Amp(Dave Molter | Posted 2009-12-08)  The Markbass Micromark Combo packs 50 watts into a cube of less than 9" and weighs just under 10 pounds. Markbass is famous for hi-fi sound in its larger packages, and the Micromark should be no excepttion. The amp features a 6" speaker, XLR out, 1/8" heaphone out and CD/aux in jacks, master volume, a pre-set filter that boosts lows and cuts mids -- perfect for slapping -- speaker off switch and ground lift. Frequency range is 70 Hz to 8kHz. A tweeter out jack allows you to connect an optional bullet tweeter for increased highs. Now the bad news: small package, big price -- MSRP: $769; street ~ $480. That's a good chunk of change for an amp the size of a Kleenex box. Finding a MarkBass to try might be difficult, but Guitar Center is a dealer. If maximum portability and a small footprint are at the top of your feature list, the Markbass Minimark may be for you.
