Warwick announces Corvette Limited Edition bass

Warwick basses has announced the release of the Corvette Neck-Through Limited Edition 2010, which the company says is "is like a time machine that lets you discover both the present, via its ergonomic style, and the past, thanks to great, vintage J-bass sounds from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s." Only 300 models will be made.
The NT Features a swamp ash body with maple neck-through construction. The light weight swamp ash is responsible for warm tone and a strong bottom-end foundation, while the hard maple neck, with neck-through-body construction, keeps the sound tight, with amazing sustain. A luxurious dark Ziricote top, finished in natural oil, adorns both the body and the matching headstock. The dark top wood is elegantly contrasted by a bright maple fingerboard with its black block inlays (fretless: Tigerstripe Ebony without inlays). Black hardware perfectly complements an already impressive looking bass.
Two active Twin Jazz pickups and active 3-way electronics by MEC give the Corvette NT Limited Edition 2010 massive thrust and modern flexibility. Four single coil pickups in the bass’s sweet spot(s) give it a versatile, yet vintage sounding vibe. Each coil can be selected independently – the sound spectrum ranges from a throaty bridge pickup to penetrating single coil attacks to the full band width of all four single coils.
Each Corvette NT Limited Edition 2010 is signed by Warwick founder and CEO Hans-Peter Wilfer himself on the back of the headstock. Thus you have an additional guarantee that you receive a one-of-a-kind, strictly limited bass guitar that meets the highest requirements that could possibly be expected from a Warwick custom shop instrument.
