On June 17th 2010 Toontrack announced their new addition to their virtual instruments line. The Beatstation was created to function as a sound design tool and an audio engine, with the drag and drop simplicity, giving space for creativity and inspiration on compositions.
The Beastation comes with a content library of 1.5 Gb of beautifully recorded instrument patches, loop ready REX files and customizable MIDI arrangements. Its content is divided in three distinct categories: Lowbit, Synthetix and Organic, each one offering real sampled sounds of world famous instrument brands, such as Ludwig, Roland, Meinl and Yamaha, grating instant access to a series of acoustic, electronic and resampled sounds.
Not only offering a great drum library, the Beatstation is loaded with bass and lead instruments samples for your musical creation. Supporting MIDI and REX files, it can easily be incorporated to any DAW as an AU, RTAS or VST plugin, or even used as stand alone instrument.
It also gives you power to record your own audio source through the Sample Recorder feature. While making easy to edit your recording, it also makes its manipulation and integration very straightforward.
You can also combine existing ToonTrack EZX and SDX drum libraries to the Beatstation, offering you even bigger drum sounds possibilities for your production. This is a tool to be used not only for sketching your own tunes but also for a full, complete and sophisticated final product.
The Beatstation was designed to give you complete freedom on your musical agenda, so you can get and create your own sound, the way you really want it.
You can buy the digital download or the physical box of the Beatstation on www.toontrack.com for $129. Make sure to check www.beatstation.com/beatstation.asp for a further run through on this new ToonTrack virtual instrument and all of its capabilities.
