Here is a quick run through on Yael's drumming career:
Independent drummer Yael started playing drums in New York City as a teenager while delivering pizzas, joining her first band, Meanstreak while still in High School. Meanstreak performed with Motörhead, Iron Maiden, King Diamond, and Anthrax. During Lollapalooza '93, she performed with members of Arrested Development, Alice in Chains, and Fishbone, which lead to a tour with Fishbone in the USA. Yael soon began experimenting with both world music and hip hop, playing with the band 1stborn7. In 2000, Yael headed to Los Angeles and joined the band, My Ruin. After heavy touring throughout the USA, Scotland, Ireland and the UK, My Ruin released their first live album, “To Britain, with Love & Bruises”. Yael left the band My Ruin in January 2005, devoting herself to diverse independent work. Yael did Bam Margera's triple threat tour with Fireball Ministry. She recorded with Chris Caffery on his debut solo album, “Pins and Needles”, and in 2008 played on George Lynch's solo debut, “Souls of We”. Most notably, Fish (from Fishbone, Timberlake, De La Soul) called her to audition for the Talib Kweli tour with Res and Jean Grae, and during the Miller Concert Series in 2006, she met bass player and multiple Grammy-winning producer Colin Wolfe and they created The Creins. Since then, Yury and Yael, with producer Nik Chinboukas, have since worked together on several projects, leading most recently to "The Love Project" songs.
