Mobilizer™, the only MIDI interface for Apple® iPhone®, iPod touch®
and iPad™.
“With Apple’s new iOS 4 it is now possible for any developer to create
MIDI-enabled applications that work with MIDI Mobilizer,” remarks

and are not charging any license fee or royalty.”

MIDI Mobilizer is a low-profile hardware device that fits into the
standard 30-pin connector of an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. It can
connect these Apple products to millions of pieces of classic and
modern MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) gear, such as
synthesizers, digital pianos, effects processors, and virtually any
device with standard MIDI 5-pin DIN connectors, including Line 6
guitar amps and POD® products. Thanks to the free MIDI Mobilizer SDK,
future applications can be developed that will allow virtually any
MIDI function commonly performed by a computer to be held in the palm
of your hand.
Recent third-party apps for MIDI Mobilizer include MIDI Live, which
provides playback and real-time modification of any Standard MIDI File
song, and MIDI Surface, which can turn an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad
into a general-purpose MIDI controller. Also available from Line 6
for MIDI Mobilizer is MIDI Memo Recorder. It presents MIDI musicians
with a host of solutions related to performing, recording and data
backup. All of these apps are available on the Apple App Store.
