It’s Metal Month on Toontrack

Attention all metalheads and Toontrack users out there: this Scandinavian software company is releasing a brand new product every week during the month of November, each one being a new tool for the making of metal music. The first one, released November 1st, is the Metalheads EZX (an expansion pack for Ezdrummer).
The Metalheads EZX is a co-production between world renowned drummer, Tomas Haake, member of the extreme metal band Meshuggah (also responsible for the creation of past Toontrack products Drum kit from Hell EZX and Metal Foundry for Superior Drummer 2.0), and producer Daniel Berstrand, whose mixing and producing credits include the likes of In Flames, Strapping Young Lad, Soilwork and Meshuggah, just to name a few. The Metalheads EZX is a sound collection of two of Thomas Haake’s drum sets that were recorded to what Toontrack calls “metal perfection”. It features twelve classics Meshuggah songs, captured flawlessly via MIDI by Tomas Haake himself, organized both as full songs as well as song parts so you can customize, dissect and use his grooves and drumming brilliance to inspire or create your next grand metal composition. Truly a metal groove library that can be used in almost any application of metal drums creation. Also, for the first time in Toontrack history, our Scandinavian chaps included Separate mix channels in the EZdrummer mixer containing kick and snare drum samples designed by Daniel Bergstrand to augment the already amazingly recorded drums.
