Pro-Mark launches three new effect sticks and new stick rapp

After its recent acquisition by D’addario, drumstick and drumming accessories maker Pro-Mark is launching three new effect sticks along with their new catalogue of products for 2011. The three new additions are a new Broomstick model, a new Nylon Bristle Brushe and a new Multi-Purpose Stick model.

The PMBRM2 Small Broomsticks are simply a smaller version of the popular Broomsticks. They are shorter (14 ˝” long) and smaller in diameter (.800”) for additional control. The Small Broomsticks produce a sound that falls in between brushes and Hot Rods. The Small Broomsticks are in stock and available for immediate delivery. The suggested retail price is $32.95 per pair.

The new Nylon Bristle Brushes features a black plastic handle with retractable bristles. The bristles, made of blue nylon are slightly thinner in diameter for a softer touch and increased sensitivity. The new Nylon Bristle Brushes are also in stock and available for immediate delivery. The suggested retail price is $32.95 per pair.

The new Multi-Purpose SD6 is a maple stick, similar in design to Pro-Mark’s SD9, but with a felt ball on the butt end. It is 16” long with .610 in diameter with a relatively long taper and oval shaped wood tip for good balance and feel. The SD6 will be available February 15, 2011. Its suggested retail price is $33.95 per pair.

Pro-mark is also adding a new color model to their popular line of Stick Rapp (Rapp being a play on words for wrap, in case if you were wondering). As with the other colors in the line, the new red-colored Stick Rapp is an easy-to-apply, non-sticky tape that offers exceptional comfort, soft feel and secure grip. The red Stick Rapp will be available February 1, 2011. The suggested retail price is $11.50 per package. Each package contains four strips, enough for two pairs of sticks.
