New Fernandes guitar imitates Bird of Prey

Fernandes Guitars began in Japan back in 1969 by building flamenco guitars, but most guitarists today are more familiar with the company’s image after it moved to California in 1992.
A lot of time has passed, but Fernandes is full of fresh ideas, including the new V-Hawk Elite. This model is actually inspired by the North American bird of prey and gives us a unique twist on the “V” shape. If you’re a player of heavier styles and especially if you’re a lead player, you’ll want to pay attention.
The Japanese-made V-Hawk Elite features an ultra-thin neck, unique Chameleon finishes that change color with viewing angle, EMG 81, Gotoh tremolo and tuners, a smooth heel joint and a lower body cutaway to provide full access to higher frets. All enhanced by the patented Fernandes Sustainer.
The Fernandes Sustainer is a uniquely designed electronic system that enables the controlled sustain of any single or group of notes within the guitar’s sound range. At your discretion, strings will emit sound at a consistent intensity until stopped, regardless of output and/or location, even if the guitar is not connected to an amplifier!
It also features a mahogany body, mahogany set neck, 24 jumbo frets, Abalone off-set dot inlays, Gotoh Floyd Rose licensed tremolo, 3-way toggle switch, Sustainer on/off & mode switches and 1 volume.
