Fender releases first USA-made acoustic since the '90s, plus new bass, ukes & classical

Fender has introduced all-new, limited edition acoustic products for 2011, led by the first USA-made acoustic guitar since the 1990s. With nine different models to choose from, the new additions to the Fender acoustic family promise to deliver cosmetic elegance and full, high-quality tone at an exceptional value.
The new models boast the USA Select 1, ($!,999.99 MSRP) Fender’s first acoustic guitar made in the United States since the ´90s. With only 30 pieces being released worldwide, this dreadnought masterpiece oozes with style with its spruce top, flame maple back and sides, forward shifted X bracing, elegant gold hardware and a Fishman® Sonitone pickup system. This limited model is loaded with a nice classic, punchy and woodsy tone and is rare to come by.
The all-new T-Bucket Bass ($549.99MSRP) becomes the first acoustic bass guitar to join the ever-increasing popular Hot Rod Design series. This grand concert body-style bass has a beautiful flame maple top with scalloped X bracing and a classic Fender Three-color Sunburst finish, mahogany back and sides, gloss-finish mahogany neck, Ivory body and neck binding, and a Fishman® IsysTM III pickup system with onboard active preamp and tuner.
The new additions also include Fender’s elegant concert and soprano ukuleles, the Ukulele Mino’Aka and Ukulele U’Uku. (pictured). These unique beauties offer exquisite sound and design that evoke the authentic sound of the Hawaiian Islands. The Ukulele Mino’Aka ($159.99 MSRP) features include a concert style, all-mahogany body with tone bar bracing for sweet, mellow tone; three-piece mahogany neck with 19-fret rosewood fingerboard; aged body and fingerboard binding and a Telecaster® headstock with Fender gold screen logo.
The Ukulele U’Uku soprano ($199.99 MSRP) is the smallest member of the ukulele family. Features include an all-mahogany body with soundboard bracing for bright tone, three-piece mahogany neck with 12-fret rosewood fingerboard, black body and fingerboard binding and an exclusive Fender headstock shape and gold logo.
Also in the new models is the CN-240SCE Thinline ($449.99 MSRP), a perfect crossover instrument for electric players and beginners looking for a great classical guitar. Features include a soft cutaway for easier access to the upper frets, thinner neck profile, solid cedar top with traditional fan bracing, rosewood back and sides, gloss-finish 18-fret mahogany neck and a Fishman® IsysTM III pickup system with onboard active preamp and tuner.
