It has the great combination of being cheap and reliable. It stays in tune pretty good. It sounds pretty good. It doesn't have anything biffed up, like uneven frets or that kind of thing. If you ever want to amp it, you can do that without any problems.
No big complaints. The biggest problem I've had was some major buzz and muting on the high E at the third fret, but they fixed that for under 20 scoots, so it wasn't too bad. The only other thing is that I break a lot of strings when I change the tuning. But that could just be because I'm an idiot who doesn't know what he's doing.
Solid spruce top, built in tuner. I've banged it around accidentally a few times to no noticeable effect.
This is a good choice for someone who wants to play an acoustic without breaking the bank (cheap bastards). It's not some unknown, no-name piece of crap, and it should last you a while. some dude rated this unit on 2005-04-28. I got this guitar at a local music store for $279. I also bought a hardshell case, so there's another 75. I had been messing around with a friend's guitar for a while, and I decided to get one of my own. I decided to go with an acoustic because I think they sound better alone than electrics do. Also, This way I didn't need an amp or effects pedals or anything like that.
I mostly just play the chords to songs I like-- nothing too hard or no solos or things like that. Thius guitar has no problem with that. Another great feature is that it has a built-in tuner. I don't tune the guitar very often (maybe every 10 or so, give or take) but it's never extremely in need of it. So I guess it stays in tune pretty good. It has a cutaway for the higher frets, so if you want to get up there for some reason, you don't have to break your hand.
The highest freats don't make much sound when it's played acoustically. But I guess that is to be expected on any guitar. And sometimes the tuner tells you that a string is too high and then too low without you touching the tuning head. That's probably just interference from the other strings. Any way, it's not a big problem.
This is a solid spruce top guitar. I was a little surprised to find a solid top/ electric acoustic for just under 300 bucks. I've banged it into a few things accidentally (nothing major), and it seems to hold up fine.
This is a really nice acoustic guitar. It's got the circutry for playing it plugged in, in case you ever need it. It's got a tuner, a solid top. And it was cheap. How can you go wrong there? Nicky Blackmarket rated this unit on 2004-09-15.
