Fender DG19-CE Reviews 4 / 5 based on 1 reviewsBought at Sound Control, Birmingham, UK, Around 300 squids. Looked great, sounded better (and the word "Fender" on the headstock...)
A fantastic unplugged sound, which has improved with time. Lovely action and a good shape make it lovely to play. On-board electrics are good - no problems in almost 10 years! The HUGE dreadnaught body makes it a great folk session guitar - drowns out everyone else!
Really picky - the jack socket is in a bit of an awkward place, 3 inches or so below the strap button. The neck could be a little wider towards the nut, but I've got sausage hands!
Really well built, although the binding has chipped a little over the years. The scratchguard fell off after 8 years, but it looks better without!
This is a great guitar for those on a budget. They don't make 'em like this anymore, but definitely one to look out for second-hand. Keep the jack socket clean (can get full of dust if you're not careful) and you'll get years of great playing. A star buy. Fraggle rated this unit on 2004-09-19.
