Johnson Gumby Guitar Reviews 5 / 5 based on 1 reviewsHi, I'm a 53 year old bass player who now plays harmonica and percussion in a 12 piece horn band. I love all kinds of stuff from classic rock to swing and new jive.
Back in the 80's I became friends with Rick Johnson basicly over the phone. He was in Cali and I in PA. I ended up buying a Gumby bass and Gumby guitar from him and when he needed some quick cash I bought his remaining stock of guitars which included a few machine gun guitars, and a few jet bomber guitars. I kept the Gumby's but eventually sold the rest to East coast music. Rick if your reading this I hope you are well! These guitars all were unmistakenly unique. Each one was a total attention grabber. And they usually played pretty good too. Many of them were set up to shoot flames! Wild stuff! These guitars all were unmistakenly unique. Each one was a total attention grabber. Pretty much slab construction but the components were very good.
I hope Rick is doing well and some day starts another guitar company. Cheers to you buddy! Mark the Sneaker King rated this unit on 2007-10-17.
