Hands-on review: ZVEX Effects Fuzz Probe

Ordered through Moze Guitar in San Diego. Saw description on the web, and wanted one. Purchase price $239 plus tax.

Looks great. Workmanship excellent. Like the 000 size. Has B-Band pickup, which sounds MUCH nicer than a piezo. Solid top has nice snap. Not quite the equal of the Martin 000, but less than 10 percent of the price.

Nothing.

Good build quality, great finish, not much excess glue on inside.

I am selling a Takamine EG-230 to pay for this. The sound is better than the Takamine, nearly to the level of a Martin or Taylor 000 size. The pickup sounds great through a fishman loudbox, through my Carvin MTS, and even through an old Maganatone. An all-round great guitar. If I lose it by any means, I will do my best to replace it. I am tempted to get another, just for backup in case it gets discontinued.
