Revival Acoustic RG-27 Reviews 4

Hey another guitar company I have never heard of before but it showed up at my local music shop. Revival Acoustics is the company and I checked out the RG-27 series dreadnaught acoustic guitar.

My local music shop just became a Revival Acoustic dealer and I have about an hour or so worth of demoing with the RG-27. The price was $500 and I believe you get a hardshell case included in that price.

The guitar played and felt nice. Great all over the frequency range. I slammed out some open chords, listened for sustain, finger-picked a bit, listened to see if the harmonics rang out and well the Revival passed every test I could throw at it with flying colors.

Advertising. I looked for their site and it doesn't give me much info to work with. I don't know where the guitar is made or who the heck Revival even is.

Dove-tail neck joint. The top is Sitka spruce and the neck back and sides are made out of solid mahogany. The fretboard and bridge are made of rosewood. The tuners are solid, heavy duty Grovers. Very cool abalone and maple binding.

Would make a cool bluegrass guitar. I would assume this guitar was built to compete with a Martin and well it does just that!
