Seagull S6 Cutaway Reviews 4 / 5 based on 1 reviewsI acquired this guitar in August of 2002 at H&H music in SugarLand, Texas. I was looking for an excellent intermediate acoustic/electric guitar and this one was in my price range, 400-500 dollars.
The pitch and tone of the guitar are great. At times it has been hard to stay in tune, but with wear and play that seemed to go away. The fingerboard is slightly wider than most guitars allowing for more spacious and easy playing. The cutaway design gives easy access to the higher frets. This guitar has been great to me and seems to get sweeter with age.
At times it has been hard to stay in tune, but with wear and play that seemed to go away. Others who have this guitar that I know of, mentioned the exact same problem, but in a more severe manner.
Solid Spruce top- not laminate
Cherry Back and Sides
Rosewood fingerboard
LR Baggs microEQ unit
In my opinion, it's agreat and quality hand-made guitar. Test the waters though; I've seen people get some duds- as in faulty products. But, when you find a good one, hold onto it. Raul Farquar rated this unit on 2003-05-06.
