Washburn D10SCE-12 ReviewsA play as a hobby. I have to say that this guitar owns up to everything that has been said about it. I only paid $379 for it new. It is well constructed, easy to play, stays in tune and most of all sounds as good if not better than Guitars costing over $1000 or more. I am a Martin fan and I have to say that this guitar competes as far as sound quality goes. I can't wait to put on a good set of strings. It came with the factory Vinci strings and it still sounds good. I have been told that a premium set such as Martin or Elixer Put's this guitar's sound up there with the big boy's. The fact that this is also an electric guitar makes it even a greater steal for the money. The Eq works great and this thing rocks thru an amplifier. The real test is to see how well this guitar holds up. I will let you know at a later time. Another nice point about this guitar is the nice case that comes with it. Washburn has really come thru with this guitar. Yes, the only downfall is that it is made in China (the only way to make them affordable) but it is clear that Washburn makes sure it is made to their strict guidlines. I have been told that these guitars are inspected by Washburn before they go out to the public. For under $400 where else can you find a premium electric acoustic at this price? and keep it mind the Spruce top is solid, not a laminate. Sean rated this unit on 2008-01-27.I play as a hobby.
