Core One Creative, Inc. BC-25CC Bullet Coil Cable Reviews
5 / 5 based on 1 reviewsPrice: $69.95
I got it from a friend (name to be withheld) who is reviewing it for a music magazine (name to be withheld).
Actually, it is on borrow, and it impressed me so much, I just have to get the first word.
This is a thick, black, retro-looking coil cable like the type Jimi (my all-time hero) used to use in those old vintage shots and movie clips. It is relaxed and it expands and contracts with such a kick-ass movement that you want to run all over the floor just to be a part of the pulse.
There is an actual .44 magnum brass casing used with a 24 ct. gold plated connector for the 1/4" plug. I guess the other Bullet Cable style is a straight cable with a chrome magnum bullet casing.
The shape actually looks like this is what bullets are for.
Now, the best part: The sonics. It doesn't have that dull sound like the old cables once did (I have tried some old vintage cables that my dad had getting dust in his - back in-those-days closet. It keeps all the highs true with a full sonic bottom.
1. That I have to give it back. 2. That I'm probably totally busted for doing this review.
Like I said, the coil cable is black and meaty. The PVC jacket is made to resist abrasion. After about 2 hours of heavy playing, stomping, and jumping around, I noticed that the only damage I could see was a bunch of dust picked up from my studio floor.
It stretches to about 26 feet. I know that there is this saying about the sound quality of longer cables, but this one doesn't seem to be a part of that equation.
Core One uses high quality Audiophile grade materials used such as 99.99% oxygen free copper conductors, and copper-braided shields and these reject RFI and EMI.
The plugs felt secure.
I've been seeing Core One's ad with the little retro kid with the ray gun claiming that the Bullet Cable with Keep Monsters in the Closet. I have to say, maybe this might become so for a lot of musicians. How else do you get a top quality, professional grade cable for 1/2 price that which others charge?
