Dark Horse 45105 Bass Strings Reviews  5 / 5 based on 1 reviewsHello, I checked out the new strings by a new company called Dark Horse. Dark Horse makes their strings in Kutztown PA. I tried the 45105 set of steel wound electric bass strings.
I haunt the internet for new guitar and bass products to try out. Dark Horse interested me, so I thought I would give them a shot. I ordered them over the internet and company was very prompt and helpful to get me the strings I wanted fast. Since I live not too far from the company, my strings were in the mail the next day.
A new set of 45105 4 string Stainless Steel Strings costs $25.
I liked that the strings felt extra clean. The overall feel is similar to Daddario's Pro Steel set of strings. The initial tone is very bright as well as deep.
If you play rock and need a little extra help cutting through the mix try a brighter string like this.
The initial feeling of the string takes a bit of getting used to. Once you are used to it, you are set, but it may slow you down a bit at first.
Great! I have had the strings for about 2 weeks and the tone and tunability is still there. I feel these strings have plenty of life left.
I am always glad to see new companies coming out with great new ideas and not just trying to meet where other companies have gone. I hope these strings get push they need stick around for a long long time. Billy rated this unit on 2010-11-08.
