Eden 410XLT Reviews 3 / 5 based on 1 reviewsI bought the cab brand new in June 2003 for 1100$CA. I used to play with 2 old Trace-Elliot 4x10 plus 1x15 cabinet and I was looking for one single cab that could give bring out the sound of my 6-string bass made by famous Montreal luthier, Lutherie MF. I tried lots of cabs : Ampeg, SWR, Hartke, etc... My amp ei an Eden WT-400.
The sound. It is the only cabinet that makes my bass sound like... my bass! I used to be very frustrated beceause I was not able to ear the sound I used to ear in the studio. The cab can be loud when you need too (I mainly play in a rock band) or reproduce any kind of texture you add to your playing.
After 3 months of normal use, I started to ear a strange noise, almost like distortion, a "crack", from volume 4 on my Eden amp. I brought the cab where I bought it. I took 3 and a half month to get the parts and have the cab repaired. I sent numerous emails to Eden through their website... no answer. The cab seems to be very fragile... And I can't comment about the customer service because there ain't any...
Seemed to be well constructed for heavy use. I'm not sure anymore...
I still think that it's the best sounding cabinet. When it works... Mike T rated this unit on 2004-08-28.
