Euphonic Audio Wizzy 12M Reviews 5 / 5 based on 1 reviewsEuphonic Audio or sometimes referred to as the easier to say and remember: EA makes high quality boutique bass amps and cabinets. Probably what is most note worthy is the construction of the cabinets. They are small, yet pack a huge punch.
I first heard about these when I saw Lee Sklar, a bassist I have looked up to for years play these with Phil Collins.
I did my homework and watched these cabinets like a Hawk on Ebay. New they run about $549 and I picked mine up around $325 shipped.
Ultimately I love that this cabinet is easy to lug around and I am getting the same exact fullness in my tone that I was getting hulking a big rig around.
The cabinet can handle 200 watts at 4 or 8 ohms. Yeah yeah, I know that does not sound like a ton of power, but this is accurate measurements, not like SOME companies that claim their cabinets can handle 1000 watts, but it farts out with a 400 watt head on a medium volume.
The only thing that bugged me is none of my local store carried ANY Euphonic Audio gear. I had to basically gamble hoping the cabinet would sound good. Well it didn't sound good, it sounded great!
Steel grill, to metal handles and the cabinet is outfitted in a thick tolex. I like tolex much better than that stupid carpet.
Don't compromise a big sound when switching to a smaller rig, just buy a smarter rig! Billy rated this unit on 2011-04-18.
