ESP C305 Reviews 5 / 5 based on 2 reviewsMail Ordered from American Musical Supply. Cannot recall the exact price, but it was around the $700 mark.
I've played Bass since 1965, and have 7 otehr Basses, including a 1965 Jazz Bass and a 1995 P-Bass. Also have an ESP-Ltd B-205 which is my 2nd preference.... The C305 has all the punch and range I need for all the different music we play. It has FANTASTIC Sustain, probably due to the Neck-Thru design, and I have come to believe that EMG Hi-Z pickups are the ONLY WAY TO GO in Bass Guitars.
Only thing I don't like about the C305 is that I do not have two (or more) of them - but I'm working on that!!
One Word: EXCELLENT!!!!
I've played bass in front of audiences for 40 years - this Bass is My Pick! Skip the Bassman rated this unit on 2004-02-18. I PURCHASED THE C305 VIA THE INTERNET,I PURCHASED THE C305 BASED ON IT'S GREAT THUMP
TONE.I PAID $580.
EXCELLENT TONE,QUALITY EQUALIZER.GOLD PACKAGE,EMG 40hz PICKUPS. BEAUTIFUL CRAFTSMANSHIP OF WOOD.I SEARCHED 6 MONTHS FOR A QUALITY 5 STRING BASS AND DECIDED TO GO WITH THE C305 OVER THE FENDER JAZZ.I'M A FENDER MAN BUT,IN THIS CASE ESP WON ME OVER.I SIMPLY COUNDN'T AFFORD A SADOWSKY WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN MY CHOICE OVER ALL.
THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE WITH THIS BASS IS THE NECK IS A BIT TOO THICK AND THE ACTION CAME SET A BIT TOO HIGH.I'M A THUMPER BUT, THAT'S NO PROBLEM TO ADJUST.(I HATE THAT I COULD NOT GET THE BUBINGA WOOD UNIT)
5 STRING,QUILTED MAPLE,GOLD PACKAGE,GREAT EQ.EMG PICKUPS.
ESP builds good quality basses for a decent price.Exellent tone all around. Curtis rated this unit on 2003-07-03.
