4 / 5 based on 1 reviewsI bought this guitar from a Martin Guitar dealer in my town. He had it specially ordered for me through a friend of his. I'm not sure how much everything cost separately, but I got this guitar,a 30W Gorilla amp, and a gig bag for about $310. I think the guitar came to about $180, but I could be off by a few dollars.
I really do love this guitar. It's easy to tune and adjust, and keeps a tune very well under normal use. I also like how thin the neck is on it. Makes it very easy to play, and a lot of fun too.
There are a few things I don't like about this guitar. The tone knob on it is pretty useless. It just gives more string noise, and really doesn't give anything of use, so I always keep it at 0. I also didn't like the look of the tuning pegs. Not that it makes much of a difference when it comes to playing the guitar, but they just look like really bad Fender imitations. But like I said, that is purely aesthetic.
The quality of this guitar is great. The neck is solid maple, and not plywood like many cheaper guitars. The finish also doesn't have any scuffs or faults(At least not any that I didn't put in it).
I really do like this guitar. It's a great buy for the price, and would be a great buy even if it cost a little more. A great beginners guitar, and a good guitar for anybody on a budget. I plan on keeping this as my main guitar until I can afford the Fender Jbass I've been looking at. But I'm almost positive that even after I get that, I'll still end up playing my J. Reynolds pretty often.
