Jay Turser JTB-440 4-String Music Man Copy Reviews 5 / 5 based on 1 reviewsI got this bass through Ebay about six months ago. i paid $160.00 for a two hundred dollar bass.
I love the warm tone that this bass puts out. The low end is amazing for such a light bass. The action is set perfectly out of the box. All you have to do is tune it and you are ready to jam. The construction of the guitar is beautiful from the open-geared machines, to the high quality of the wood used. I play this bass EVERY day and I never get tired of it. I recieve compliments on it whenever it is out of the case.
I would like it to be a five string. Jay Turser does make this bass in a five string configuration, though. Also, I am not a really big Fender fan so I don't like the headstock.
The body is made of high quality ash, with a maple neck and rosewood fretboard. The bass is light weight and could easily be played for hours on end. The machines are made of high quality steel and are an attractive addition to the masterpiece. The three-ply, white-black-white, oval pick gaurd is a stark and beautiful contrast to either the Trans-Red, Trans-Blue, or the Trans-Black.
This bass is amazing. Especially at the price they go for online! The finishes that Jay Turser puts on these basses are top notch. Bottom line: A beautiful bass at a great price. Drew G. Petersen rated this unit on 2002-02-09.
