Saluda 10" Splash , 14" Crash, 16" Crash, 14" hats Reviews 1 / 5 based on 1 reviewsI bought these cymbals after purchasing my first drumset because they were affordable and I didn't have a lot of money to shell out on cymbals.
The Price, that's IT.
These cymbals do not sound good at all. They have a very high pitched thin metallic sound and you need to muscle them to get any kind of crash sound out of them. They sound like baking pans mounted on a cymbal stand.
These cymbals are junk. The alloy is so soft you can bend it with medium sticking. The alloy began to crack only after a few months use and i was NOT hitting it hard, because i was consiously trying to take care of my cymbals. Eventually i hit the splash and the bell completely separated with the brim of the cymbal. The crash cymbals were unusable in a matter of 3 months. I got sick of rebending them to their original shape, and eventually they just started cracking. I bought a set of zildian A medium crashes after that and never looked back.
Save your money and buy some nice cymbals. Not only are nicer cymbals more durable, they sound 1000 times better. Sean rated this unit on 2002-06-27.
