Looks great, set-up not too bad, and was built and packaged with care. Very sharp for a electronic kit. Can't beat the life time warranty. The price can't be beat, and they are built in the U.S.A. And lastly, being able to play anytime, night and day, and nobody knows!
The pearl export style tom mounts. Not the best type of mounting system for these drums. The tom mount slides up into the drum itself, and is secured by way of a tuning lug on the drum which tightens the internal clamp around the mounting arm. I have not had this kit long enough to determine how well this mounting system will hold up, but I'm not sure it will be long before I will need to resecure the toms. Finally, the Ecymbal triggers (EXC) do not trigger as well as I hoped. I would suggest trying out Rolands Ecymbal line instead.
The quality is a 8, on a 1-10 scale. This score is attributed to the above mentioned tom mounting system. However, the rack is rock solid, giving the performer he can really get on it when playing. I was also surprised at the quality snare stand they sent! The drum heads seem like they can take a real beating and never break.
If you are like me, and live in a condo or apartment, these things are great! You can't compare them to a acoustic kit, but when used with the Roland TD-8 drum module, it's the closest your going to get without getting death threats from your neighbors!
