Percussion Plus Drum Kit 800 Series Reviews 5

I got this as a second kit in order to replace the wicked pearl kit that i have. Believe it or not, wait a minute... i got the advert for the drums in a shop window, it said they where pearl exports in vintage fade with cymballs and cases. £270 when i got their i turned out that they where actually percussion plus with VINTAGE ZILDGIAN AVEDIS from the 60's. the drums where 11" tom, 16"floor tom, 14" snare and 22"bass drum. The cymballs where 22" crash and a 22"ride. and 14"high hats. BIG!!. they came with premier beverly hardware with quick lock stands and high hat "collectors items" and an old pearl pedal, that was crap, but i replaced it.

I love it!!, i take it to all the small pub gigs with me, i can let other people use them and im not bothered because therye not worth much. And when im finnished with them i just throw them in the loft, litrually!. they sound amazing for such a cheap begginer drum kit, the drumms sound really deep and have a real warmth to them, they are quite loud too. They seem remisnicent of a jazz kit or bee bop. best of all i only paid £70 for the whole lot! ho ho ho.

they have acumulated 20 years worth of wear and tear... broken tom mounts, odd sized tuning rods, bits of gaffa tape in the strangest of places. the usual

i think they are made from pine, or some sort of chipboard wood cardboard composite? but they still sound as good as an export!!

for the price i paid, i really havnt got any complaints. you can just throw them around- they are bullet proof! (although i dont intend on shooting them) an absulute bargain!! buy them if you want a second cheap drum kit to bash around! PS - dont ever EVER buy A "PREFORMANCE PERCUSSION" they are absuloute junk.
