Epiphone Les Paul Black Beauty Custom Reviews 5 / 5 based on 1 reviewsI got this instrument as my third Guitar. My first two were a B.C. Rich and a Squier Bullet. Both Cheap and used, both big dissapointments. I played this guitar in a shop 3 years ago and fell in love with it and bought it online for 650$. I consider it the electric guitar i have developed a personal attachment too.
An awsome piece of craftsman ship. Everything you could like about a Gibson Les Paul for leess money. The action is great and the fret board is like silk. The frets are a great size and it has wonderfull tone and tuning stability. I have had it for a long time and it has held up great. The mahogony body and alder top give the guitar a great lower mid-range tone. The stock pickups handle equally well both distortion and clean sounds. This guitar looks sexy like a panther or something. I have been singing it's praises for 3 years. It's got everything thats good about a Les Paul (fat sound, killer sustain) with out the rediculious Gibson Price Tag that so few can afford. I love this guitar.
Nothing. It's perfect. The only problems are things that are usual for Les Pauls (i.e. heavy) If you prefer a long scale on the neck this guitar has a shorter one like all Gibsons also it has a 12" radius wich I like. Some picky people would frown on guitars made in Korea but I honestly think this is a better deal for your money then most of the Gibsons (while they are emaculate instruments)
Solid, I've had it for 3 years and never had to get it repaired. It stays in tune and mines neck has yet to twist or warp.
Just a great all around guitar. I think this guitar has high end style at a midrange price. Definitly worth your money if a les paul is what you want but would rather have an epiphone then a "les Paul Special" Mike rated this unit on 2004-03-26.
