Fender Squier Bullet Reviews 4 / 5 based on 2 reviewsI MADE A VERY EASY CASH PURCHASE OF THIS SQUIRE-BULLET AT THE GUITAR CENTER FOR 99.00. IT WAS THE MOST EXCELLENT CHOICE OF A CHRISTMAS PRESENT I EVER MADE FOR MY WIFE WHO'S LIFETIME WISH WAS TO HAVE HER OWN ELECTRIC GUITAR. MOVE OVER MS. ETHERIDGE, YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN'!!
HAVING PLAYED GUITAR FOR MANY YEARS, I WOULD SAY THE SQUIER-BULLET I PURCHASED WOULD BE AN EXCELLENT CHOICE FOR ANYONE BEGINNING TO PLAY.IT HAS VERY NICE ACTION THAT WAS ADJUSTED PROPERLY AT THE FACTORY. EVEN A HIGH-END GUITAR SOMETIMES MUST BE ADJUSTED AT THE PLACE OF PURCHASE FOR GOOD PLAYING QUALITY. THE SQUIRE BULLET HAS 3 PICKUPS, 5 POSITION ADJUSTMENT, 2 TONE ADJUSTMENT AND 1 VOLUME ADJUSTMENT WHICH BRINGS IN A GREAT RANGE OF CHOICES OF TONES. IT MORE THAN MEETS THE NEEDS OF A NOVICE GUITARIST. ALSO, I LIKE THE FACT THAT IT CAME WITH ITS OWN ADJUSTMENT TOOLS AND IT DOES COME WITH A CORD.
WOULD HAVE PERFERRED THAT IT WAS AN AMERICAN-MADE PRODUCT.
IT COULD HAVE USED A HEAVIER COATING ON THE FINAL FINISH. FOR ALL PRACTICAL PURPOSES, IT HAS AN APPEARENCE OF THE HIGH-END STRAT. TUNING MACHINES ARE VERY SMOOTH TO OPERATE AND HOLD THEIR POSITIONS. THE NECK WAS STRAIGHT; NOT AN OVERLY HEAVY GUITAR AND HAS BRIDGE AND NECK ADJUSTMENTS WITH A NICE CHROME FINISH. NECK AND BRIDGE ADJUSTMENTS ALSO APPEAR TO BE GOOD QUALITY.
OVERALL, I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE OF THE SQUIRE BULLET AND MY WIFE IS OVERWHELMED; AND WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT I BOUGHT A LOT OF "GUITAR" FOR $99.00. HANKSTER rated this unit on 2002-12-26. I got this from guitar center for $99. I heard good stuff about Fender and they have good starting guitars.
Low price. Looks cool. 5 choices for the pick-up switch. Easy to play on.
Buy a new cord. The one they give you is crap. I bought a monster cable and it sounds so much better. Change the stings also. You should do this with any guitar anyways. The knobs for tuning seem almost like plastic, could break easy. This guitar has VERY high action. When I played I heard a lot of buzzing of the strings. Be aware.
It had a couple scrathes on it when I got it but I guess I could expect that. Over all pretty good as far as what it was made to be.
If your buying your first guitar (like i just did) this is not a bad choice. Either this or the affinity. They are cheap and good guitars to start on. Overall, pretty good. Mike "Budweiser Froggs" Santilli rated this unit on 2001-12-13.
