Fender Squire Affinity Telecaster Special ReviewsBought new at a local music store for $169.00 w/o case. I've been playing guitar for close to 40 years and I can say without any doubt that the quality of this instrument is on par with any custom crafted guitar being made today. Being a retired professional, I've played a lot of highly-prized, way over-priced new and vintage guitars over the years (I even own one of them) and this Telecaster is now as valued by me as much as any of the others. The price is just the icing on the cake, as it were. Leo Fender's original concept with the Broadcaster/Telecaster in the early fifties was to mass-produce a good quality guitar for musicians so they could afford to buy it on their working-class salaries. This Squire fits that bill perfectly. Leo would be proud. threshold4 rated this unit on 2004-01-06. |
