Fender Squire Stratocaster Reviews  4 / 5 based on 7 reviewsI got this guitar for £230 from Argos. It came with a pretty nice 15 watt amp and leads etc.
the sound of the guitar when played through the amp sounded ok when distorted. There is a great sound from natural harmonics and playing lead with sum good feedback although sounded fairly weak and tended to be very fuzzy at low volume
on the clean channel the treble was to sharp even when treble was turned down on the amp. It isnt the best guitar for rhythm strumming
well it seems sturdy enough. I dropped it on my mates back garden when we were practising and it didnt split or crack although some paintwork did come off but i cant complain
its a good guitar to start to learn on but dont think just because it is a fender it will be better than any other guitar. This was my second guitar as my first was this gibsons the paul copy and i do regret buying this guitar although the amp was good included in the price.

i like muslim nappies jou rated this unit on 2003-06-09. I recieved this guitar from a pawn shop for i think a steal. It was one hundred and ten dollars and is well worth the price. I needed a fast, durable, but cheap electric, and i found one.
I like the wide and very sturdy neck. It is good for lead and ryhthm. The pickups are great and it rarely comes out of tune on its own. I play a wide range of music, and this guitar seems to deliver what i need.
There's not much I don't like about it. If i had to change something, it would be the tone and volume knobs, and maybe the placement of the lead.
I don't think I could ask for a better quality. The neck is very strong and the body is most reliable.
For any beginner or intermediate, this is a good guitar to learn the basics and a variety of music. One day I might give it up for a better sounding or a faster guitar, but not any time soon. It can be pretty forgiving, and enough for bragging rights. A timely piece, in my opinion. I had planned on buying an acoustic but co-workers and the salesperson at the music store said electric was the only way to go. I bought a Crate Max Pack with the blue Fender Squire Strat and a book or two for about $300 from a Mars Music store in Texas.
The guitar has a very nice feel. Being a beginner I looked for a guitar that let me feel comfortable right from the beginning with cord shapes. The fit and finish of the guitar is excellent. No complaints about the sound (I wouldn't be able to tell if it's the guitar or me..grin).
Not really a complaint about the guitar, but I wish the guitar had come with some sort of tech sheet. The box the guitar came in assumed I knew assembly, knob function etc. I figured it out eventually, but a intro sheet would have been nice.
The guitar seems to be built rather nicely. No cracks in the body, the frets are nice and tight. No complaints about staying in tune and I've had no problems with the tone or volume knobs.
This is a great guitar for the beginning guitarist. The nice strat sound combined with a good fit and finish can't be beat. The price was exactly what I was looking for. I purchased one of these about 4 months ago, from a nearby guitar shop, for £200, with a tiny amp, and cables etc. It was recommended as a good first guitar, so as i know very little about guitars at the time, i decided i'd have it.
It is a very nice looking guitar, sunset finish, and remarkably resembles its big brother, the Fender Stratocaster. I have managed to get the strings very near to the fret board, without them buzzing, and it is very easy to play.
The guitar is excellent for a first time buyer, but for anyone who has had experience with a guitar before, i would recommend straying from this price range, and looking for something better. The strings will come out of tune alot when you first get the guitar, but as you play it more and more, they will stick in tune.
The Squire is put together very nicely. I'm not sure what the guitar is made of, but I have been very pleased with it.
This guitar is perfect for a begginer. It's easy to use, the strings are easy to change, and it doesnt sound dull, or flat. Mike Hodges rated this unit on 2001-12-16. I wanted to start playing the guitar. After purchasing the Stat-pak by Fender I was amazed! The quality is soooo tremendous for a "beginner" guitar. All of my friends think it is way cooler than I ever thought possible for a "beginner" guitar. It is really an amazing piece of ROCK!
It sounds so clean, and it is absolutely built to rock.
The name is the only bad thing about it. If it said FENDER on the top no one would be able to tell the difference.
