I lusted over this guitar for weeks at my local music shop before I could cough up $599 with Fender Deluxe gig bag.
I like its thick rhythm tone. For me a standard Telecaster is somehow both too bright and too muddy. This guitar does a great job whether you play rock, country or jazz.
It is a very lightweight guitar. It is very attractive. From the F logo'd tuners, the pearloid pickguard, just a very attractive instrument.
I was a bit fragile. I have two chips around the body, which aren't a big deal, one is only into the clearcoat, the the other splintered the wood. It broke my heart, but hey I plan on keeping it for life, so it goes down as a battle scar rather than a collectible investment.
Well built. I've been playing mine for at least 10 years. Hasn't needed any work, just the standard polishing and restringing.
I did upgrade the saddles, because I'm not a fan of the saddles the Made in Mexico series guitars are fitted with. I upgraded to the Graphtech saddles and am very happy.
A great guitar if you want a more airy sound that can also rock. If you are used to the Fender scale, but need a more Gibson-y tone, this is a nice move.
