Gibson 1973 Les Paul Deluxe Reviews 5 / 5 based on 1 reviewsI was given this by my Uncle for my 12th birthday, paid nothing. Gibson gave me a rough estimate by the serial number of about $2500.
Love the tone. The mini humbuckers pump out this thick cutting ballsy tone. Instantly recognizeable from any other guitar. The heavy mahogony body adds to the great tone and durablilty of the instrument. The low action of the strings allows for easy fretting. The gold top is very attractive and historical keeping with the original color of the early Les Pauls.
the heavy weight strains your shoulders and back while playing for long periods of time. Besides that I wouldn't change a thing.
Impecable quality and construction. Held up for 3 decades and is playing better than ever. Only a little chip on the front finish.
This is a fine instrument for anyone to purchase. If you have the chance to play one or purchase jump on it. A timeless classic that will only increase in value. Many reissues will come about but none will equal the amazing tone of the original. Jim rated this unit on 2003-01-13.
