5 / 5 based on 1 reviewsWell, to start with, I, previously had a Korean Classical Guitar, a Hovner 12 String Jumbo Acoustic Guitar and an Epephone (Indian) Acoustic Guitar. Since, all of them were Acoustic, I had to buy an Electric Guitar. So, I bought this Guitar from a Music Store located in Kathmandu, i.e. in Nepal. I bought it in December of 2001 and at that time it cost me NRs. 5,800.
Well, the thing I like about this Guitar is mainly its model. It is more or less similar to the Fender Stratocaster. Its Metallic Black in colour and reflects your face as you play in. The position of the Pick-ups are exactly like the Fender Stratocaster. Its got an adjustible bridge and as got different switches for all the tree pick-ups...Its got two normal pick-ups and one is a hambucker like an original Gibson Guitar. The Volume and Tone are also Quite Good for its price.
What is hate about this Guitar us the finishing in the neck. The colour sucks. The finger board is useless...its so roughly made that you scratch your fingers while bending the strings. The Factory Packed strings were so stiff that they couldn't be bent more than 1/4th of the normal. ( But, its much better after I put a set of Feder Strings) The wood used seems to be a low quality and because of that it is very heavy and its impossibe to carry it for a long time in Concerts...(well, forget playing this guitar in Concerts, your you'll just receive rotten eggs.)
Well, you can't get a better quality at this price. The construction is the exact copy of the Fender Stratocaster but the sound is a long way down from comparision.
The bottom line that this is the best guitar for beginners and for people who cannot afford foreign Guitars. But make sure its only for practice, don't even think of playing this guitar on Stage Shows!!! But since the price is so low, I give it 5 out of 5 at itz price range.
