Gibson Les Paul Special Worn Finish Reviews 5 / 5 based on 1 reviewsI bought this Gibson Les Paul at Guitar Center in Plymouth Meeting. I needed something better than a Squier Standard Strat. I paid $650 for it and it was worth every penny.
You can get excellent tone out of this guitar. It's perfect for rythm and it screams when you solo. The neck is fat, so you can get those extreme bends. I have a cherry red finish and it looks so awesome. It's already faded so it looks like its been played for years (but it's not like those corny Fender Custom Shops). It certainly doesn't cost as much either.
The low E string isn't as powerful as some other Gibsons but if you tweak the pickups a little, you can make it roar. The action is high but if you lower the bridge it can bring those strings down.
This is a beautiful Les Paul. None of the bolts have come loose and the neck feels like butter. It has a nice rosewood neck and is sturdily put together. I would recomend this guitar to any guitar player period.
I fell in love with this guitar and I can tell it will be with me for a long time. It's not one of those guitars that you buy and then trade in. It's a lifelong guitar. Matt rated this unit on 2003-01-26.
