Italia Mondial Reviews 3 / 5 based on 1 reviewsI bought this from a local shop for like 600 bucks (way too much, but they let me finance it, so I said what the hell).
It has magnetic and piezo pickups with seperate controls and outputs for each. Great for running into two amps/effects at once. It is also semi hollow which I prefer. The action is low and the fretboard plays nice and fast. Looks terrific.
This thing is fiberglass so if you are like me and often bang things around, this is not the guitar for you. I was dating this crazy drug addict stripper who flew into a rage and swung it at me and put a huge chip between the neck annd the pickgaurd. apparantly this part of the body helps support the neck and the thing hasn't played right since...chances are you won't have this problem though. Just be careful. The tuners suck and it never stayed in tune, even before I pissed the stripper pff.
Overall it looks good and has some unique features, but it is cheaply constructed. The crazy stripper I was talking about earlier could have given me 40 whacks with a strat and I would be the only thing broken.
Its ok, but overpriced for what it is. I do love having two outputs, but I would have been better off with a Gibson and a switchbone. Buy American! J Deisel rated this unit on 2005-03-21.
