Jay Turser JT 200 Moss Green Finish Reviews
5 / 5 based on 1 reviewsI bought it on E-bay new for $148.49/ Plus $25.00 Shipping/ Plus $69.99 Case (gotta have a hard shell case). The total was $243.48
When I first saw the guitar I fell in love with the look of it. It was a beautiful moss green finish on it. The action was set up just like I like it, low and no buzzing. The guitar when plugged in is very pristine in the clear channel, but when run through a distorion channel, it shreds. I like the sense of quality I feel when I play this guitar. I really didn't know anything about Jay Tursers until I read other reviews about them. To tell the truth, I never heard of them until I looked on ebay then did some research. The reviews were outstanding so I figured for the price you couldn't go wrong. To say I was pleasently surprised was an understatement! This is an awsome guitar!
Nothing to say here about the guitar itself. Just my dumb a$$.....
I bought some pickups to have put in it (ahead of time) because I felt for sure the stock pickups would need to be replaced.... man was I wrong.... I spent 150.00 for nothing (If it ain't broke, don't fix it). The pickups sound as good as my friends PRS, and better than my 1967 Gibson SG's, or my American Deluxe Stratocaster.
This guitar is screaming quality from the finish all the way to the sound and playability.
It plays and sounds better than any other guitar I have ever played, with the exception of a single cut away PRS (A $5500.00 guitar!!!) ... but it is right up there with that one!!! I want to thank Jay Turser personally for providing an awesome guitar at such a remarkably low cost. This guitar plays and sounds like it cost at least a thousand more than I paid for it.
This is not a cheap copy of a les paul. This is a fine guitar. Better made than anything I have ever played except PRS's. I have been playing for 15 years and own(ed) several guitars from Fender, Gibson, Ibanez, and Washburn guitars. Right now I have a 1967 Gibson SG and a American Deluxe Strat. They are good guitars, but if I had this one back when I purchased them, I would have never gotten them. I originally bought this guitar to haul around from friends and to church (I play in church), and back home. Just to kick around with so nothing would happen to my "expensive" guitars..... now I am afraid too, because I don't want anything happening to this one. This has officially became my main axe.
