At new this guitar comes in at around $200, which included the amp and guitar strap, gig bag, pick selection, and tuner. Its actually a pretty good unit for a non pro / average player or learner. I tested a number of Squire Strats at a few places and found the overall quality varies a bit. Worth taking the time to hunt out a good one. Nice action, good crunch from the humbucker. Had a Gibson LP Custom many years ago and whilst the Squire is no Gibson its certainly...
