As a beginer guitar, or, one to mess about with, it's excellent value for money, I always intended messing with the pickups, even before I got it, it now has a dimarzio virtual vintage blues in the middle, a standard squire affinity one in the neck, and a genuine, 1980 american strat pickup in the bridge, this setup gives a good range of sounds... My Pick ups are loud enough that I don't need to switch to my Mexican when I play gigs inside or Outside, its just great.
