Hands-on review: ZVEX Effects Fuzz Probe

I bought it new in 78 for $200. They listed for $500. I had to look high and low to find one. It is an SG type of guitar. They were only made for 3 years and this was the top of the line model.

Sound is clear as a bell. It has a 3 position switch and a 6 position switch which gives you 18 different tone settings plus a separate volume and tone control for each of the 2 pickups. The neck is smooth and easy to play. The color is tobacco and is georgeous. The hardware is gold, which is now faded on mine.

It is somewhat difficult to tune throughout the fret. I'm just not good at setting them up. I need to have it adjusted by a professional

Once I bought this I never looked back. Before this guitar I was buying and selling 3 to 4 guitars a year. I have performed professionaly with this axe for over 25 years now and I still love it.
