Yamaha Pacifica PAC012DLX Reviews 5

I own this guitar for almost five years now. This was a recommendation from my brother who is a guitar player. He has built a decent guitar collection so far, and he had not doubt on telling me to buy this Yamaha electric guitar. I love to play heavy and distorted guitars when I’m not behind the kit.

I paid for this guitar something close to $300. You can definitely find it now for at least $100 less, musiciansfried has it now for only $179.

It’s funny to say but their motto for this Yamaha guitar line, “outstanding value, outstanding tone” is definitely how best to describe this guitar. I did paid a little more than what they are sold today, but still it was a pretty damn good price for its quality. The neck feel comfortable and the tone its great. It sound as good as a guitar that cost double or triple of its price. I admit I’m not a great guitar player, but the playability I got with this guitar is superb. Indeed, a really good buy.

The pickups configuration switch it’s not properly working anymore, I’m sure it’s something I have to open it up and fix it. Probably a loose cable. Anyhow, it’s been 5 years so I really can’t complain.

This is a excellent guitar, built with great quality. Here are some of its specifications: Construction: bolt-on Scale length: 25 1/2' equals 648mm Fingerboard: sonokeling rosewood Radius: 13 3/4' equals 350mm Frets: 22 Body: agathis Neck: maple Bridge: vintage tremolo Pickups: single coil x 2, humbucking x 1 Pickup switch: 5-position Controls: master volume, master tone

Looking for a great guitar with a super small price. The Yamaha Pacifica HSS is the way to go.
