The IA303 Jam Cable is a high tech Y cable that turns your guitar amps single input into to. Also included in the kit is a male to male 1/4' to 1/8' cable that allows you to plug in your mp3 player to the Y cable. Ultimately with this cable you can jam along to your MP3 player with your current guitar rig.
I saw this in a current music gear catalog and thought I would give it a shop. American Musical Supply sell the IA303 Jam Cable kit for $24.99
It is simple to use and there are no batteries or power supplies involved.
I get both the left and right channel of my MP3 player in one speaker of my guitar amp. The cable not only gives me a stereo feed but is changes the impedance so may MP3 player volume is closer, but still louder than my passive guitar's signal.
No improvements are needed. This system is flawless and easy to understand.
The cables feel tough. I assume they can't break unless I use them improperly.
A great way to make playing along with your MP3 player simple. You can also use the Y cable to plug in another guitar, microphone or keyboard. Billy rated this unit on 2011-04-18.
