Danelectro Fish and Chips 7-Band EQ Reviews 4 / 5 based on 1 reviewsThis is the dark green pedal from Danelectro's cheaper plastic boxed effects. Most of them are named after food. The EQ I'm reviewing is named Fish and Chips.
From Left to Right the EQ sliders are: 100hz, 200hz, 400hz, 800hz 1.6khz, 3.2khz, 6.4khz and an over all Level control. Each slider offers + or - 15db
My local shop just got in the line and a budget EQ really peaked my interest. $30 brand new!
It's tiny so the footprint takes limited room on your board. It can be powered off of a 9 volt battery or a power supply.
The battery is easy to get to. There is a plastic screw you can twist with your fingers or thumb nail.
It does what it should boost and cut frequencies.
The cheaper plastic box and switch are the only thing that holds this back from a cheaper pedal.
As I said before the plastic box is to be cautious about. Don't stomp on it with Doc Martins! Other than that it is a nice little pedal. The sliders stay firm, meaning they won't be easily changed unless you want them changed.
A great compact EQ pedal. Compact on size and price! The only thing to be concerned about is the plastic box and cheaper switch. Billy rated this unit on 2011-01-11.
