Fender PT-100 Pedal Tuner Reviews 2 / 5 based on 1 reviewsI thought hey for $40 how bad can this be? Honestly ever other Fender accessory I have owned or tried has been decent, but this is a unit that I would suggest passing on unless it never really leaves the house.
Local music shop had a great sale on these. I thought it'd be good to pickup a cheap spare pedal tuner in case my Boss ever kicked the bucket. $40 out the door I was ready to go.
The PT-100 is priced cheap. The tracking is reasonable. The accuracy isn't incredible, but it does a good job for its class. Great battery life.
The display is tough to see on a dark stage or in bright daylight. I would make it in a stronger box and have an adjustable display.
It is made in a cheap plastic box. After a few good stomps the black plastic switch will pop off. It didn't break completely and I was able to re-fit it, but that is a stupid design flaw and well it doesn't look too professional when you tuner explodes onstage!
On paper this looks like a money saver, but in it's fragile case and dim display you'll be back at the store in no time looking for a new tuner. Billy rated this unit on 2011-09-30.
