James Romeyn PrimeVibe Guitar Seasoner Reviews 1 / 5 based on 1 reviewsIt's several units put together. Two mini headphone-looking earbuds, a central amplifier, and a power unit. It's all purple and plastic. I used it one several guitars to test it out and see what I thought.
I got it direct from the company. They ask $99 each for the PrimeVibe.

It did manage to break in my strings somewhat and make them more stretchy as I played. It's also kinda cool as a novelty item. After all, you're playing music through your guitar without actually playing it. Kinda neat to set up your iPod and blast Andy McKee through your acoustic.
Too bad it doesn't really do anything for your guitar, though. I tried time and again for weeks at a time to get results out of the PrimeVibe, but with no luck. Setting it up takes a large amount of room in your house, because you can't just hang your guitar upright or set it against a wall. It'll take up a whole table. And it's kinda loud too...because you're playing music through your guitar the whole time. It's a novelty, but realistically, it can be rather annoying.
It feels like cheap molded plastic that you'd use to make toys with. Not something I'd call sturdy at all.
Get the ToneRite instead. They did it right in the first place. Single unit. No spare parts. Durable. Oh, and it actually works. ShackMan rated this unit on 2011-02-07.
