Hands-on review: ZVEX Effects Fuzz Probe

I bought the Studio Pro 1000 cable at Prosound in Denver today for $100 to replace cheap cables I had been using.

I went home, plugged my Les Paul into my Peavey Amp and started playing with the old cable, then took it out and plugged in the Monster Studio Pro 1000. As soon as I started playing, it was like I had a whole new better sounding electric guitar and amplifier. I was stunned at how much cleaner, richer, brighter and fuller the sound was on both clean and distortion. If you don't have an awesome cable such as this, the guitar and amp are a waste of money. This cable is worth every penny I paid for it.

I can't think of one thing I don't like.

The cable is ruggedly constructed with gold plated plugs that give a good connection. I threw away 8 other cables I bought over the past 30 years. They are all junk by comparison.

Ok, this item actually rates a "6" but they only let you go to five on here. I honestly had no clue a cable could improve sound this much. It's like upgrading pickups, putting on new strings or buying a better amplifier. The cable makes more difference in sound quality than I ever dreamed possible. GO BUY ONE and no I don't work for them. Every guitarist should have a monster cable!
